Anchors. Something I’ve been patiently waiting for for a while now. It’s finally here! After listing to their other projects and getting a feel for what to expect from I Am Empire, I wasn’t surprised at all with the direction of this (their third) album.

The album starts off strongly with “Gravity Bomb.” An appropriately chosen track, exploding in just the right places. Personally, I was hoping to hear the single “Sing” as the opener. I didn’t expect it to be so far down in the track listing.

My favorite tracks from the album were “Sing,” “Daylight,” and “Blackout.” I thought they were all strongly written as well as being a musically powerful group of songs.

This wasn’t my favorite project from I Am Empire. It moved a bit too quickly for my taste. I thought their first album with Tooth and Nail, Kings, was stronger. Even so, it was pleasant to listen to, and it certainly won’t stop me from listening to anything else they release in the future.
